LLC Foreign Qualification

Conduct Business in Additional States

In order to expand their operations, small business owners often register to do business in more than one state. LLC.com will help you "qualify" to conduct business in additional states:

  • Most states require existing LLCs formed in other states to file a "foreign qualification" to conduct business within their borders.
  • In some cases, your company name may not be available in the additional state. In this case, you may need to use an "assumed name" in that state. LLC.com can assist you with the filings required to register a "Doing Business As" (DBA) name.
  • Prior to granting approval (sometimes called a "Certificate of Authority"), many states require your company to be in "good standing" (compliant) in its state of formation.

We can help you "qualify" in additional states.

LLC.com will:

  • Identify the registration requirements in the state(s) you choose.
  • Check the availability of your company name and research your other choice(s), if necessary.
  • Advise you of the fees to complete your foreign qualification.
  • Forward the appropriate paperwork to you for signature.
  • Submit the forms to the Secretary of State.
  • Send you the Certificate of Authority, once the state issues it.
  • Enable you to concentrate on your business while we handle the qualification details.
